Register for a licence, ask about integrating the engine, or report a bug. All three go somewhere a person reads.
Request a licence
PressboardKit is free — there is no charge for a licence. One is still required, and it is issued against a named application rather than granted to the world.
Registration runs through email and is handled by hand. There is no signup form, no instant key and no automated provisioning, because there is no backend yet. Send the details below and a licence comes back to you; the licence terms say what it grants and which terms are still open.
What to send
- App or company name
- Who the licence is issued to. A company name if there is one, your own if there is not.
- Bundle identifier
- The app and its keyboard extension. If the app is unbuilt, say so and send it later.
- Target iOS version
- The engine requires iOS 26. If you support older versions, say which.
- Languages you need
- Which layouts and which autocomplete languages, including any the engine does not ship yet.
- Evaluating, or shipping
- The two get different answers, and pretending otherwise wastes your time.
Everything else
You do not need a licence in hand to ask a question.
Integration and commercial questions
Questions about embedding the engine, a language the layouts do not cover yet, what the licence does and does not permit, or whether PressboardKit is the right fit at all. Email is the shortest path.
Bugs and feature requests
Anything reproducible belongs in the issue tracker, where it can be linked to a commit and a changelog entry. A parity bug — somewhere the keyboard differs from the native one — is always worth reporting, however small it looks.
If a report has security implications, send it by email rather than opening a public issue.
Why there is no form on this site
This site is static files. It has no backend, no form handler and no third-party form service, and adding one would mean adding a third party to a site that currently makes no requests of anybody — see the privacy note for what that buys you. A form that posted nowhere would look more finished and work less well, so there isn't one.
Registration is a different matter, and the honest version is that it is moving rather than absent. A dashboard at app.pressboardkit.com is where it will live: it has accounts, so it has a session cookie and a form, which is exactly why it is a separate host rather than a page bolted onto this one. Keeping them apart is what lets the sentences on this site stay literally true instead of nearly true.
Until it opens, licences are issued by hand from the address below. That is slower than a signup page, and this page would rather say so than draw a button that pretends otherwise.
